While the days are still warm here in Northern California, it’s finally cooling off at night, and the brisk evenings are making me crave some of those Fall and Winter standards like hearty soups and hot cocoa.
I just made pasta sauce from the last of Summer’s tomato harvest, and check out last week’s Monday Yumday post for my most recent delicious soup adventure.
The turning of the seasons has also prompted Allison to bring back one of our perennial cool-weather favorites: Peppermint Drinking Chocolate.
It’s been on hiatus all summer waiting for the return of shorter days to show its minty deliciousness. With Autumnal bonfires upon us and winter evenings by the wood stove just around the corner, this smooth and creamy fair-trade chocolate drink has found it’s moment and is a guaranteed crowd pleaser.
