Perfect Combinations

Ever since we changed our cookie and brownie recipes to use oat flour instead of wheat, Allison has been a little bit obsessed with her own cookies. For a long time it was the Mint Chocolate Chip Cookies that were her almost daily habit, but recently, her preference has leaned towards Double Chocolate Chunk. Last week I found her enjoying this little snack and we decided that the Double Chocolate Chunk Cookie with a glass of So Delicious Coconut Milk was such a perfect combination we just had to document it! (Allison prefers the Unsweetened flavor, but I usually go for the Original or the Vanilla.)

That little snap shot got me thinking about other perfect dessert combinations and here are some of my favorites (more photos to come, I promise):

• Peppermint Hot Cocoa with a Classic Chocolate Chip Cookie to dip in it.

• Decaf Vanilla Nut organic coffee with So Delicious French Vanilla Coconut Milk Creamer and a Pecan Brownie on the side.

Soft Peanut Butter Cookies warmed in a toaster oven with chocolate chips melted on top.

• Rooibos Earl Grey fair-trade tea made with 4-5 drops of stevia and a splash of rice milk and… never mind… that drink is so delicious it’s its own perfect combination.

What are your ideal dessert combos? We’d love to hear your ideas and see your photos.

In the Works: Gluten-Free and Sugar-Free Baked Goods

One of our goals here at Allison’s Gourmet is to offer the very best, most delicious, premium sweets available.  We strive to create elegant, delicious vegan desserts that everyone can enjoy. In that direction we’ve been doing all kinds of baking tests lately working on making gluten- and sugar-free versions of our organic brownies and cookies that are just as good as our originals. Today we tested a gluten-free version of our classic chocolate chip cookies with organic coconut sugar and they turned out really good! We’re still perfecting the gluten- and sugar-free organic brownies, but are confident that we’ll get there!!

We want to know: is gluten-free important to you? How about sugar-free?

We Love Cookies!

Here at Allison’s Gourmet, cookies are our first love. We make a lot of really awesome products, but it all started with Allison’s quest to make a truly delicious vegan cookie. We now offer twelve out-of-this-world flavors of chewy vegan cookies highlighting a different flavor each month, including Butterscotch Pecan in March, Classic Chocolate Chip in April, and Coconut Key Lime in May. Our vegan cookies come to you packaged in 2-packs so they’re easy to share and they won’t go stale before you get a chance to eat them all. They also freeze very well for up to three months.
