Summertime Menu Ideas
As we move out of winter into warmer weather, for many of us our tastes change. Those rich, warm dishes that we crave in the colder months get moved aside in favor of fresher, lighter fare. 
But, just because you’re craving salads and sandwiches doesn’t mean that some classic comfort foods can’t make an appearance on your table. We’re Completely Wheat-Free!
It’s official, we’re completely wheat-free! This month’s Coconut Key Lime Cookies were the last of our flavors to finally be transitioned to oat flour. Woohoo! And how delicious are they, you ask?

Looking Forward to: Spring Flavors
2010 was a busy year around here, what with testing all the new oat flour versions of our vegan cookies and brownies as well as creating our new line of salted caramels and brittle. But, life in the vegan fast lane is never dull, so with monthly club shipments done for the month, we’re hard at work again perfecting the two final vegan cookie flavors to be transitioned to oat flour: Butterscotch Pecan Cookies for March, and Coconut Key Lime Cookies for May. April’s Amaretto Almond Brownies will be the final brownie flavor to make the switch as well.
As far as fudge flavor highlights for spring, here’s what we’re looking forward to: Vanilla Chai white fudge in March, Peppermint Velvet fudge in May, and Sour Cherry Chocolate fudge in June. Let’s enjoy our way to warmer weather!
Summer Flavors on the Way
I know summer doesn’t officially start until next month, but we’re celebrating early with Coconut Key Lime as our cookie of the month flavor for May. These delightful bites of paradise, along with everyone’s favorite Double Chocolate Brownies (now made wheat-free), and pucker-licious Sour Cherry Chocolate Fudge are being shipped today to all our lovely monthly club members. So, take your brownie, fudge or cookie of the month treats and go have a picnic, ’cause summer time is on the way!
The Flavors of Summer
It feels like spring here in Northern California, which makes me start looking forward to long days of summer fun in the sun. For all you cookie monsters out there, here’s a little sneak preview of some of our gourmet cookie flavors coming up in the summer months.
May kicks off the summer season with Coconut Key Lime cookies. There’s nothing like mild coconut and tangy lime to whisk you away to an imaginary tropical paradise. June’s gourmet cookies will be Mint Chocolate Chip, a perfectly sweet refreshing flavor for the hot days of summer. July goes classic with chewy peanut butter cookies just like the ones mother used to make. Here’s to planning ahead… we have your summer sweet tooth all taken care of.
